The attached is a heart-felt letter from a Toronto firefighter. The letter reveals the discord being fostered in our firewalls due to the COVID injection mandates. These mandates are dividing our communities in ways that undermine our ability to live peacefully and successfully in community.
A prelude: “Our fire stations have always been unified teams with one common goal; to serve our community. We support one another regardless of sex, gender creed, religion, or politics. I have never had to question whether a colleague would have my back – as that is built into the bond all firefighters share.
But now there is a serious divide that has broken the chain between my fellow brothers and sisters. Once hailed as heroes, we are now being abandoned as we seek help from our communities and government. Forced to choose between getting vaccinated or lose everything; the job we love, the city we love to serve and the ability to feed our families.”
